How do you beat Sub Zero with Scorpion in the original Mortal Kombat for Sega? Btw, hes #2 in endurance round?

So I'm on the last endurance round on the difficulty "very hard". I can usually kick Raiden's *** and still have more than half life left but Sub Zero owns the hell out of me. I've beaten him earlier in the game but for some reason he's really pissed and out for revenge.
