I need advice about sex.?

I have been with my boyfriend for about 5 months now (I know not very long) and I have been thinking about having sex with him. It would be my first but not his first time. And its not that he is pressuring me in to it because he's not but I've just been considering it a lot recently and I want some advice as to what others would do in my situation.
