Video game where you play the alien fighting the evil humans?

I remember playing a video game where you play the alien fighting the humans as the aggressive species. The game was either played on a sega dreamcast or xbox. The game cover featured the alien you play, kneeling or crouching atop a mound of human skulls with a rifle of sorts in hand.
